[General description] The pool at the Adelaide City Baths has been drained to create a stadium. The area is roofed with flags hanging from the rafters, and there is a skylight. Broken Hill: City baths
The City Baths showing young males about to dive into the pool and other males watching from the side. On 8 October 1900 the Mayor, Jabez Wright laid the foundation stone of the municipal baths at the Central Reserve. The baths were opened on 10 December - 'one afternoon per week reserved for ladies'.

Joan Yvonne Fenton at the Olympic pool at the Adelaide City Baths. The Daughter of Leslie Fenton and Emilie nee Ashmeade, born 15 July 1922, married Captain Cedric Clapp at St Paul's Church Saturday 28 March 1942.


Photograph album of the Parker and Davidson Families
The album shows aspects of station life at various sheep properties in the far north east of South Australia and the Broken Hill region, among them Buckalow, Bimbowrie, Oulnina Park, Telechie, Burta, Topar, Tantallon and Yalcowinna as well as visits to other stations in New South Wales and Victoria namely Morundah, Widgeongully and Tolarno. Three young women thought to be Grace Langloh Parker (1895-1987) and her sisters Wilga Maud (1898-?) and Una Geraldine Davidson, nee Parker (1901-1986) are central to many of the photographs and it may be that the album was compiled by Grace Parker. Holiday visits were made to Victor Harbor, Port Elliot, Inman Valley, Second Valley, Mount Gambier, Portland Victoria, Sydney and Tasmania. A number of photographs relate to the BHP towns, Iron Knob and Broken Hill. Two of the Parker daughters, thought to be Wilga and Grace, accompanied their Mother on a voyage from Sydney to the Celebes and Java in 1926, including sightseeing at Macassar in the Celebes, the Mount Bromo Volcano, Sand Sea, Borobodur, and other places in Java with the homeward voyage via Singapore, Port Darwin, Thursday Island and Cairns.

Aerial photographs, primarily of the city of Adelaide. Views include high and low angle views of the central CBD and King William Street; Adelaide Oval during the 1937 Ashes test match between Australia and England. Some views include inner suburbs beyond the parklands.


Government Survey Department Stables
[General description] View over premises (which appear to be a wood and scrap yard) to Torrens Lake and parklands beyond. Some of these buildings were the old Government Survey Department Stables, built in 1846, behind the site of the old City Baths and near the present site of the Festival Theatre. Railway Station
[General description] This is a panoramic aerial view of the part of Adelaide adjacent to the new Railway Station. The station appears in the centre with its long covered platforms and railway yard. On the left the vacant site for the planned east wing of Parliament House can be seen. King William Road (with tram) is in the foreground. Opposite the tram is the old City Baths. The building between the baths and Parliament House is the Government Printing Office. Opening of the State War Council Soldiers' Hostel by Sir Henry Galway, Governor of South Australia, July 19th 1918. The ceremony was also attended by the Premier, A.H.Peake, the Mayor of Adelaide, C. Glover, the Minister of Repatriation, E. Anstey, and Captain Blackburn, V.C., M.P. Located behind the City Baths, the hostel was built at a cost of 3,123 Pounds and provided accommodation for 50 men plus a luncheon room and hot and cold baths.
